baseball

for one of our exertions we  attended a tainan lion's minor league baseball game. it was so fun to be the only caucasians in the stadium and be loved! we stole the majority of the lime light that was aired on national television in Taiwan. a huge difference from american and Taiwan baseball is the excitement and sound. constant chants and screams were heard throughout the whole game regardless if the pitcher was just about to pitch or not.

they loved us so much we made it on the jumbo tron. one of the nurses at the hospital found a link to our minute of fame... currently over 2,000 hits! we are still trying to find someone to translate what the commentators are saying but i'd imagine they were laughing at our over exerted attempt for attention

a week prior to seeing the lion's play we saw a white boy at the market and were so excited. he was pretty cute and looked america. we asked him where he is originally from which he replied sherman oaks; just near my home town! we were excited to see him play but little did we know Aubrey would snap this little beauty of him. he would probably die if he saw this picture of himself. we must have laughed about this for hours. hayley joked that he would make a perfect dancer.

perfect weather, perfect company, perfect game. yet again, another successful night in tainan!

  1. Hi Nikki - It is Chelsea's mom. I love your blog! It is so informative with great pictures. I can tell you are immersing yourself right into the Taiwanese culture and taking the opportunities to experience so many new things. Thanks for being a great roommate to Chelsea. She has so many positive and kind things to say about you and all the fun she is having with you on your adventures.
